Project Team and Stakeholders

Improving the Highway and the Community

During the planning stage of the Bridges over I-676 Project, PennDOT and its engineering consultants held or attended more than 80 meetings with City of Philadelphia and other governmental agencies, business and civic groups and representatives of community interests. Together, they formulated a plan for completing the improvements while minimizing impacts on vehicles, pedestrians, commerce, and civic and cultural venues and events on and near the Parkway.
